Even at the local church level it is difficult enough arriving at a consensus on doctrine. Much more so at the denominational level. For example, are Catholics really Christians? What about those who worship on Saturday? Mormons? Jehovah's Witnesses?
If James Dobson becomes president, will he advocate that statues of Mary be destroyed, that all stores must close on Sundays?
If the major world religions unite, and become supported by the US government, arguably the major world power, widespread religious oppression of the minor religions will occur - and with greater force than the Dark Ages.

Memo to all Christians - don't mix politics and religion
A few points that I hope all my Christian brothers and sisters receive:
1. DON'T MIX POLITICS AND RELIGION. Politics is the world's attempt at social order. Religion is man's attempt at spiritual order - and it is anything, like politics, but orderly right now. A united spiritual order (Christian unity) is the greatest positive influence on the social order.
2. Condemn the sin but not the sinner.
3. NEVER think that you have the right to judge one's faith. Yes, by their fruit ye shall know them but then that knowledge should lead you to PRAY FOR not ATTACK the person.
4. This is NOT A CHRISTIAN NATION. This is a nation created to uphold freedom for all religions (or lack of).
5. This should be A NATION INFLUENCED BY CHRISTIANS - we should go tell it on the mountain, but dust our feet off and keep moving if the mountain village rejects it. We should be the GREATEST WARRIORS FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE (see the minor prophet books of the Bible).

Created to respond to attacks on Barack Obama's faith specifically and generally to point the body of Christ that the Great Commission is not about US VS. THEM.
It is about the spirit of Noah, pleading for the lost.
It is about the spirit of Hosea, demonstrating amazing love and forgiveness.
It is about the spirit of Jesus Christ, focused on the mission that the Father gave Him. Not on establishing an army that attacks our fellowman, but disciples that equip themselves and others with the whole armor of God to stand against principalities and powers - the army of Satan.
